B. Scholarships (Minimum annual contribution is $365 to finance all projects):
On January 30, 2010, the selection committee awarded 50 scholarships to orphan/needy students to continue with their Highschool Education from different empoverished communities in Kenya. We're committed to gender equality and fifty percent were awarded to girls.

6. Deadline to add schools for the 2009-Scholarship program was August 2: Notification letters to all the participating Primary schools are being mailed in August. Let's all submit our contributions in support of the needy schools by September 1.
7. Congratulations: We were granted tax exempt status from Federal Income tax under section 501 (c) 3 on April 30, 2008. All contributions or donations to KACO are thus fully tax deductible. Quite an achievement, kudos to the committee board members for facilitating such.

F. Term Life Insurance:
Each member is encouraged to sign up for at least $20,000 coverage. This is the minimum amount to meet funeral expenses in the event of loss of life.
The premiums are affordable, approx $15 a month.
Globe Life is the provider.
G. Membership:
1. Lifetime >> $1,500.00 Husband & wife members.
2. Lifetime >> $1,000.00 Individual member.
3. Annual (Jan -Dec) >> $100.00, Member, Spouse, or children above the age of 18 years.
